Outreach is at the heart of FREE’s work. We meet women affected by prostitution, exploitation and trafficking with dignity, practical care and a consistent invitation to support.
Meeting Women Where They Are, Without Judgement
Poverty, violence, family pressure, discrimination and a lack of realistic alternatives can leave women feeling trapped in prostitution. Others are being controlled or trafficked.
Taking Relational Outreach Beyond One City
Over time, FREE and its partners have reached women in Bucharest, Constanța, Ploiești, Câmpina, Brașov, Ruse, Sighișoara and Târgu Mureș. FREE’s vision is to see trained Christian outreach teams multiply across Romania.
Showing Up Consistently in Hidden Places
FREE began outreach in strip clubs and erotic massage venues in Bucharest and Constanța in 2015. Team members visit with carefully prepared gifts, useful information and an invitation to connect in a safer, more personal environment.
This work has also been shaped by people with lived experience who understand the environment and can communicate hope without judgement.
Reaching Women Behind Screens and Closed Doors
Exploitation increasingly begins or continues online. FREE’s online outreach creates a discreet point of contact for women who may need information, practical support or a safe next step.
Creating Safer Communities for Vulnerable Children
This programme serves children from the Gara de Nord area in partnership with Casa Cana Community Church. Many participating children experience poverty, family instability or direct exposure to prostitution and exploitation.
Activities have included:
- Weekly dance, music, games, crafts, Bible stories and character development.
- Summer camps and day camps.
- Age-appropriate prevention programmes.
- Special activities around Christmas and Easter.
